Do you feel strongly about animal testing?
Over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned, and abused in labs every year. 92% of experimental drugs that are safe and effective in animals fail in human clinical trials because they are too dangerous or don’t work. All that cruelty to no end. What’s the point? I personally can’t bear the thought!
A manufacturer of cosmetics and toiletries can state ‘this product is not tested on animals’ which may be true of the final blend, but did you know that the individual ingredients may have been? Especially if they’re sold in some countries which require that sort of testing.
When I came upon Tropic, it ticked so many boxes for me, and this was a huge one. I love that they’re vegan, because that suits a growing percentage of people; I love that they’re gluten-free, because that is also on the rise (due to environmental and food changes); I love they they’re toxin-free and NO ANIMALS WERE EVER NEEDED to create these beautiful products!
Surely nature knows best, don’t you think?
Achieving THE LEAPING BUNNY accreditation, apart from the company not harming or testing on animals, means that ‘..the company does not and shall not purchase an ingredient, formulation, or product from any third party manufacturer or supplier…been party to animal testing…’, and those companies have to sign a declaration themselves to that effect.
TROPIC SKINCARE is on the list of companies that hold this accreditation. If you check the link above, you can look up your favourite skincare company to see if it’s there.
If it matters, then please, please stop using products that you know are tested on animals. If you saw what they went through, you just wouldn’t hesitate.
They can’t defend themselves. (Sad face..)
